Edventures episode 01 - New Drivetrain
Starting off the riding season with my friend Chris, we were exploring Michaux and I ended up chipping a few teeth on the chainrings of the Stumpjumper. I was kinda surprised to look up my bike and the age of the parts and struggled to find affordable replacement chainrings for it.
After doing the math and a little bit of research and scavenging for parts from a friend, I decided, “Why not just change up the whole system?” So I elected to switch to 1x11. Why not, I run that system on my Salsa Warbird.
So I got all the parts together once my favorite shop opened for COVID curbside pickup and set to reworking the whole shebang. How did it work? Check out the video for the maiden voyage at the Hershey Medical Trails by Samba with my friend Chris who just picked up a new Full Suspension Rocky Mountain from the same friend who hooked me up with some of my drivetrain parts (and lots of support advice via text)!
